LANSING – Yesterday, Chadwick Mobley, 44, was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment without the possibility of parole by Judge Michael Nolan in the 40th Circuit Court in Lapeer County for the 2011 homicide of Andrea Eilber, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Mobley pled no contest in February to First-Degree Murder, Felony Murder, and Felony Firearm. 

“Because of the collaborative efforts of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police, and prosecutors from my office, Mr. Mobley will spend the remainder of his life in prison for the horrific murder of Andrea,” Nessel said. “My thoughts remain with Andrea’s family, friends, and community. I hope this outcome brings some measure of solace and healing to those who loved her.”

In 2011, Eilber was shot in the head at the home of a relative in Lapeer. Evidence found at the scene was tested for DNA during the immediate investigation, and again in 2022 in a renewed effort that positively identified Mobley, who by then resided in the state of Utah. Mobley fled his home shortly after questioning by Michigan State Police and was later apprehended by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department in Libby, Montana, before being returned to Michigan to face criminal charges.
