Help Me Grow Maine is proud to partner with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety to offer a statewide Child Passenger Safety program.

What does the program do?
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians provide free car seat inspections for all families, regardless of income, helping ensure children are safely secured in the right seat for their age and size. Income-eligible families may also qualify for a brand-new car seat and car seat safety education.

How does the program work?
• Depending on where you live, Help Me Grow Maine will connect you with a local car seat distribution site or schedule an appointment with a Help Me Grow Maine technician if no local option is available.
• Appointments are held at community locations and typically last 30 to 60 minutes, including car seat safety education.
• Due to staff and car seat availability, eligible families may wait several weeks for a car seat.
