A couple of weeks ago, the Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) and the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) announced that we would be visiting five Maine cities during the week of July 20 to 24 to offer an opportunity for in-person presentations including discussion on the proposed Lifespan Waiver.
Now, we are just two weeks away to the first scheduled visit! We'll be meeting with Providers in the morning from 9:00 to noon. And, we hope to see Individuals currently on waitlists for Sections 21 or 29, Families of youth who are considering applying for IDD/Autism services, Advocates, Legislators, and anyone else who might be interested in learning more about the coming Lifespan Waiver in the afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30.
*A Note about the Zoom option on the registration page. While we understand that not everyone is able to make it to the in-person events, whether due to schedules or proximity, the Zoom sessions that take place during the two sessions on Friday, July 24, are view-only. Zoom attendees will not be able to engage with the presenters, except to submit your questions in the Q&A. Only the in-person sessions will be interactive. If you have signed up for a Zoom session, and you feel like it would be more beneficial to attend an in-person session, please use the link below to register for one of the in-person events and leave a comment in Question #7 to remove you from the Zoom registration roll.
For assistance with registration or if you need an accommodation or support to take part in one of these meetings, please contact Jennifer.Tankersley@maine.gov.
