Maine Department of Health & Human Services sent this bulletin at 11/24/2025 10:00 AM ESTYou are subscribed to MaineCare - Behavioral Health (BH) for Maine Department of Health & Human Services. This information has recently been updated, and is now available.
As part of the Department of Justice Children’s Behavioral Health Services Settlement Agreement, all BHH Coordinators and Children’s Targeted Case Managers are required to complete the Wraparound Planning Principles (WPP) Training. Please complete this training by January 31, 2026.
WPP form the foundation of high-quality care coordination for children and families—ensuring that services are family-driven, collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in each child’s strengths and needs.
The required training consists of three online modules:
- National Wraparound Implementation Center (NWIC): Wraparound Overview
- NWIC: Team Roles in Wraparound
- System of Care (SOC) Module 1: An Introduction to SOC
These three modules also serve as prerequisites for High-Fidelity Wraparound training. Children’s Case Managers/Care Coordinators who have already completed the full High-Fidelity Wraparound training, which includes these modules, do not need to take any additional action. All others must complete the three modules listed above to meet this requirement.
The training is provided at no cost to you by the Maine Center of Excellence in partnership with the University of Connecticut. The Guide for Accessing NWIC Online Modules gives you access to the training modules and instructions to guide you through creating your profile, accessing the online modules, and completing the three required trainings.
Thank you for your continued dedication to supporting children and families through high-quality, coordinated care.
For questions, please contact Katherine Kasheta, High Fidelity Wraparound Manager.
