Back-up Data Loggers Rollout Plan

Back-up data loggers will be distributed at the start of the new year, January 2026. All MIP enrolled locations will receive ONE back-up device for emergency and transporting use. Each back-up data logger will come with a calibration certificate good for three years

Do Not Discard Old Data Loggers: (Blue LogTag)

  • Retain your current data loggers for emergency use if additional data loggers are needed.
  • Ensure all back-up data loggers designated for use have a valid calibration certificate.

Calibration for VFC 800-WiFi Smart Probe Data Logger

Each data logger came with a certificate of calibration good for two years. Prior to the calibration expiration date, each location will be responsible for ordering and purchasing a new calibrated Smart Probe for each installed VFC800-WiFi data logger. The VFC800-WiFi data logger with smart probes allows calibration without removing the device from service, reducing downtime from re-calibrating your temperature data logger. Smart probe technology eliminates the need for mail-in recalibration.

  • Cost per calibrated Smart Probe = $79.00
  • Comes with a new 2-year calibration certificate
