The Maine Immunization Program (MIP) is pleased to announce that influenza vaccines for the 2025-2026 season are now available for enrolled providers to order through ImmPact.
MIP will supply seasonal influenza vaccine for all children in Maine, ages 6 months through 18 years.
Provider Requirements
The following items must be current in ImmPact prior to placing an order:
- Signed Provider Agreement
- Completed vaccine coordinator education requirement
- ImmPact User Agreement on file
- Current submission of temperatures
- Current reconciliation of inventory

2025-2026 Influenza Vaccine Recommendations
- Everyone 6 months and older should receive a flu vaccine annuakky.
- All 2025-2026 seasonal influenza vaccines are trivalent.
- All 2025-2026 seasonal influenza offered by Vaccines for Children (VFC) are thimerosal free.
Storage and Handling
All influenza vaccines (inactivated, recombinant, and live attenuated vaccines) should be stored at refrigerator temperature of 2° through 8°C (36° through 46°F). No influenza vaccine should be frozen.
Vaccine Information Statements (VIS)
Federal law requires that VISs be provided before each dose of influenza vaccine. The most current influenza VIS (dated 1/31/2025) is available here: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/current-vis/index.html.
How to Order
Please order only the amount of vaccine you will administer during a 6-week time. Frequent smaller orders help minimize wastage.
To create an order in ImmPact:
- Under the Inventory section, select Manage Orders.
- Click Create New Order.
- Select the influenza vaccine presentation and enter the dose amount.
- Submit the order.
Upon receipt of vaccine shipments:
- Go to Manage Transfers in ImmPact.
- Click the blue hyperlink date under the Create Date.
- Accept the transfer.
Administration Fee
Providers may bill a reasonable administration fee. No patient may be denied vaccine due to inability to pay. For VFC eligible-eligible patients, administration fees may not exceed $21.58 per dose.
