Be Ready for Measles Toolkit

There is a new resource for health departments: CDC’s Be Ready for Measles toolkit. This toolkit provides preparedness and outbreak response tools and communication materials to health departments that make it easy to communicate with the public, clinicians, and partners before and during a measles outbreak.

Communication materials are available in additional languages and as editable or printer-friendly versions upon request. To request these, please email: measlesresources@cdc.gov.

With ongoing measles outbreaks in the United States, all healthcare professionals can be ready for measles cases, especially during the upcoming summer travel season, and particularly in unvaccinated patients.

To help providers and clinics stay prepared, CDC’s Project Firstline is hosting a webinar on May 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. The webinar will feature a panel of CDC experts as they cover current trends in measles epidemiology, clinical recognition of measles, the importance of vaccination, and preparing and responding to measles, including infection prevention and control in the healthcare setting.

Register and submit your questions in advance, and please share with your networks.

For More Information on Measles:

Please note: Some healthcare system firewalls or security settings may block access to the webinar link. If you experience issues we recommend trying to access the webinar from a personal device.

Temperature Documentation

reminder

All sites are reminded that there is no change to the temperature monitoring and documentation process. Sites are still required to:

  • Manually enter temperatures into ImmPact
  • Record temperatures daily on a paper temperature log. (see sample log below for reference).

Electronic and paper records must be completed to stay in compliance with vaccine storage and handling requirements.

Need a copy of a paper log? Access them here.

May Is Hepatitis Awareness Month

may is hepatitis

May is Hepatitis Awareness Month. This observance serves as a time to raise awareness about hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C while encouraging testing, vaccination, and timely treatment. Viral hepatitis is a major public health threat and worse, hundreds of thousands of people in the United States don't know they are infected. Work with us to remind everyone that hepatitis A and hepatitis B can be prevented, and hepatitis C can be cured.
