This update is coming to you from the Maine CDC Drinking Water Program
The First State Subsurface Wastewater Training Is This Wednesday, March 19th!
The first of two State subsurface wastewater (SSWW) trainings will be held this Wednesday, March 19th, from 9am- 12pm. Please register for the training, using the link at the end of this email.
The second training will be held next Wednesday, March 26th from 9am - 12 pm. The registration link for this training is also below.
Both trainings will be worth 8 CEUs, and they will be held as webinars. Both trainings will cover the same material.
Brent Lawson will be highlighting the changes of the 2023 Amended Rules and presenting on general code issues.
Eli Pellegrino will be presenting on permit fees/ submission, the new HHE-200 form, and how to search for permits in the new permit search database.
This training is recommended for Local Plumbing Inspectors, Site Evaluators, Septic System Inspectors, and System Installers.
We also encourage town staff who work with septic and internal plumbing permits to attend this training. We will cover topics like how to price permits, prepare them for submission, and what resources we have available for town offices. This training would also be useful for any town staff who are considering becoming an alternate.
Registration for the State SSWW Trainings is required. There is no fee to attend these trainings.
