Maine is in the first year of a 4-year transition period in which the responsibility for early childhood special education services is moving from Child Development Services (CDS) to school districts. Please look at the attached memo for information about the process and timeline. This is the first of several communications that we will send out to answer questions you may have as a provider of early care and education in Maine.
