DHHS and the Maine CDC Birthing Hospital Planning Call:

DHHS and the Maine CDC are encouraging birthing hospitals that provide newborn care to enroll as a provider with the Maine Immunization Program (MIP) with the Maine CDC to be able to access the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and the Universal Vaccine Program. VFC eligible children are those enrolled in MaineCare, uninsured, underinsured, American Indians & Alaskan natives. By enrolling with MIP, hospitals will be able to receive all childhood vaccines for children under the age of 19, including Nirsevimab, Hep B and COVID-19 at no-cost.

Please join DHHS and the Maine CDC for a Zoom call scheduled for Friday, October 20 from 9-10 am to discuss how implementation of RSV Prevention medications will fit into the clinical workflow with clinical and pharmacy leads.
