Subject: Vaccine reconciliation requirement update

In an effort to streamline requirements within the Maine Immunization Program (MIP), we will now be requiring that all MIP-enrolled providers (regardless of the type of vaccine ordered) reconcile their vaccine inventory at least once every 14 days within the ImmPact system. This new requirement is effective immediately.
Previously, VFC-only providers have been required to reconcile once every 30 days while COVID-only providers have been required to reconcile once every 14 days. Providers with both VFC and COVID vaccine will continue to reconcile once every 14 days.
As a reminder monthly vaccine management and reporting is required in ImmPact regardless of whether an order is submitted or not. In addition to reconciling inventory, providers will continue to be responsible for completing and submitting temperature readings into the system.
