Subject: Single Dose Vial COVID-19 Presentation

Ordering has opened to selected provider sites for limited quantities of the updated (bivalent) Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for people 12 years of age or older in single-dose vials.
Although multi-dose vials will continue to be available, the single-dose vial presentation will provide for greater flexibility to providers who may not have the storage capacity or patient population to maintain a stock of multidose vials. As a result, this expands the number of locations carrying COVID-19 vaccine, making for easier accessibility of vaccination to all.

Vaccine may be ordered with a maximum quantity of 50 doses per order. Providers should plan to prioritize the single dose vials for situations when a multi-dose vial would not be appropriate - such as vaccinating only one or two patients. Single dose vials should not be used for vaccination clinics or when multiple people are seeking vaccination at or around the same time.
