Subject: ImmPact Downtime and Federal Ordering Blackout

Date: September 15, 2022

To minimize ImmPact downtime, the Maine Immunization Program (MIP) has coordinated infrastructure maintenance to align with the Federal ordering blackout.

  • All orders must be placed in ImmPact by 2PM, September 27, 2022, for MIP to approve orders
  • Reminder – you should have six weeks of inventory on hand
  • All data entry, cold chain, and reconciliation should be completed by 5PM, September 27, 2022
  • ImmPact will be available on September 29, 2022, at 2PM
  • Ordering of vaccine will resume October 3, 2022, at 12PM

For locations transmitting data via an interface, MIP will be instructing your interface team to queue messages from 5PM September 27, 2022, through 2PM September 29, 2022.

IMPORTANTAny messages not queued during this downtime will not be received. Your EMR vendor will need to resend any messages submitted during this downtime.

Although MIP will communicate this to your vendor, it is also your responsibility to stress the importance of this to your interface team to reduce any burden to your location.

Should you have any questions, please contact us at 207-287-3746.  We thank you for all that you do to ensure that Maine people are protected against vaccine preventable diseases.
