Annual Educational Training and Post-Test

July 1, 2022

Beginning today, July 1, 2022, Maine Immunization Program providers may now complete the annual educational training and post-test. All primary and secondary vaccine coordinators that are assigned to these roles in their provider agreement must complete the Vaccines for Children training.

Any trainings completed prior to July 1 will not count towards satisfying the requirement in the upcoming cooperative agreement period (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023). Any new providers who were hired or inherited a primary or secondary coordinator position prior to July 1, 2022, will not need to complete the training again until the next cooperative agreement period (July 1, 2023). All other providers must complete the training and post-test by October 1 of each cooperative agreement period.

Historically, providers have been required to complete two trainings, each followed by a post-test. For ease of completion, we have merged the Vaccines for Children and Storage & Handling trainings, as well as the post-tests, so only one training and post-test is required.

The combined trainings and post-tests are located on the following webpage: Annual Education Requirement |Immunization | MeCDC | Maine DHHS. Failure to complete this education requirement will impact your ability to order vaccines within ImmPact.
