Behavioral Health Home Organization (BHHO) Applications  

MaineCare Services is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for participation in MaineCare’s Behavioral Health Home (BHH) program. BHH applications will be open until further notice.  

BHHs are an integral component of MaineCare’s Value-Based Purchasing efforts. The program’s goal is to ensure members with mental health diagnoses have an integrated, team-based approach to care in which care managers and behavioral health providers conduct a comprehensive needs assessment and complete a plan of care to address a member’s needs. 

BHHs are a partnership between a licensed community mental health provider, the BHHO, and one or more Health Home Practice (HHP) to manage the physical and behavioral health needs of eligible adults and children. Both organizations receive per member, per month payments for qualifying services provided to enrolled members. BHHs build on the existing care coordination and behavioral health expertise of community mental health providers. Participation in BHH services is entirely voluntary, and members can opt out of the program at any time.
