Absorb Platform: Learning Management System (LMS) Upgrade

Effective May 27, 2020, DXC Technology's Learning Management System (LMS), formerly eLogic, has been upgraded to a new LMS platform called Absorb LMS. If you are a registered user, you should have received an automated email from noreply@myabsorb.com, requesting that you set up a new password in the new Absorb LMS system. This is not a phishing email. This link to update your password will expire seven days from the date of the email. In order to sign up for future training courses, please ensure your new profile in the Absorb platform contains current information.

Please email npalmer8@dxc.com with questions.

Brain Injury Codes for National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Logic, CR 94280

Section 102, Rehabilitative Services providers who are billing brain injury codes are experiencing denials due to NCCI edits. CPT Codes (96158, 96159, 96164, 96165, 96167, 96168) are affected. When some code combinations are billed on the same day, they are considered valid combinations by MaineCare and the claims should not deny for this reasonClaims billed with these codes after May 15, 2020 will process correctly through a workaround. We will notify you when the system has been updated. Once the issue is resolved,  all affected claims submitted prior to May 15, 2020 will be reprocessed. No provider action is needed. If you have questions, please contact Provider Services at: 1-866-690-5585.

License and Contract Update, CR 92872

Providers’ licenses and certifications are now checked and updated automatically by the system on a weekly basis, as needed. This will occur on Mondays with a rolling 60-day look-ahead for licensure entries set to expire within that timeframe. This is done as a courtesy to providers to ensure continuity of payment as well as to reduce the amount of maintenance cases needed.

These updates are limited to licenses and certifications that are tracked in the State of Maine Agency License Management System (ALMS). Updates to licenses and certifications will only occur if the provider's license number remains the same. Any new or additional license information will require the provider to submit a maintenance case. Any license that is placed under Title 5 Review will be excluded from this automatic update process. These updates will be visible in the system every Tuesday.

Updated licenses and certifications can be viewed by logging into your Trading Partner Account on the Health PAS Online Portal.

Please see a list of license prefixes affected by this change on MaineCare’s Provider Enrollment and Revalidation webpage.
