Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentation
Deadline for submitting abstracts - September 12, 2018
Division of Disease Surveillance, Maine CDC Annual Infectious Disease Conference November 14, 2018 at the Augusta Civic Center
We're delighted to invite you to submit an abstract for the poster presentation at the Annual Infectious Disease Conference on November 14, 2018. Poster presentations will be displayed for the full duration of the conference. The conference will offer engaging plenary sessions. Presentations topics will focus on a range of topics including: 
- Rashes Explained: Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment
- Updates in Epidemiology of STDs
- Tuberculosis Diagnosis - Prevention and Treatment
- Antibiotic Stewardship
- What About Rabies?
- Infectious Disease Hazards of Occupational and Recreational Needle Use
It is expected that over 300 healthcare providers and medical office professionals will join the program and exposition.
STEP: 1: Submit a written abstract electronically to jmehorter@adcareme.org no later than September 12, 2018. Download instructions for submission.
STEP 2: Wait to hear if the abstract submission has been accepted. While waiting, develop the poster presentation (a visual illustration of the findings displayed). Download instructions for guidelines.
STEP 3: Register to attend the conference. The early bird fee is $75 if you register on or before 10/15/2018. We accept credit card payments via our online registration system or you can send checks payable to: AdCare, Ballard Center, 6 East Chestnut Street, Suite 101, Augusta, ME 04330.
