Section 68 Occupational Therapy Services and Section 85 Physical Therapy Services: Procedure Code 97532, CR 74197   

The Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) would like to provide an update on the billing code 97532, Development of cognitive skills to improve attention, memory, problem solving within Section 68 Occupational Therapy Services and Section 85 Physical Therapy Services. As of January 1, 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has eliminated code 97532 for billing.

OMS has identified G0515 as the appropriate replacement code for this service. This code is active and ready to be billed. Thank you for your patience in this process.

Section 102 Rehabilitative Services and Procedure Code 97532, CR 74197 

The Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) would like to provide an update on the billing code 97532 Intensive Integrated Neurorehabilitation (IIN) within Section 102 Rehabilitative Services. As of January 1, 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has eliminated code 97532 for billing. OMS is aware of the code change and has made the necessary modifications in our systems to adapt a new code for billing the IIN services. 

OMS has identified G0515 as the appropriate replacement code for this service. For Section 102 claims to pay, the ST modifier must be included with the code. This code with modifier is active and ready for billing. Thank you for your patience in this process.
