Issue Corrected: Denied Claims due to National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Editing, CR 48408

The issue where some claims have denied in error due to NCCI editing on previously denied claims has been corrected.

Some claims have denied in error due to NCCI editing on previously denied claims. We are working to resolve this issue and will notify you when it has been corrected.

Reminder: Outpatient hospital claims with minor and major components must be submitted on the same claim. If not submitted together, MIHMS will pay the first claim that is submitted and processed and the second claim will be denied. This could result in a lower reimbursement amount. If this has occurred, you should reverse one of the claims and adjust the other claim to combine both the minor and major components.
