Good morning,
Passing along this Marine Safety Information Bulletin from the US Coast Guard. Please stay safe out there!
On behalf of Captain Brian Gilda, the Commander for Sector Northern New England, I am releasing the attached Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) 05-14, which discusses some risks associated with towing from a high rig aboard commercial fishing vessels. The Maine scallop fishery starts on Monday, December 1, and we have worked with Maine Marine Patrol and Maine Department of Marine Resources to draft the attached MSIB. We request your assistance with giving the MSIB the widest possible dissemination in advance of Monday's scallop opener.
Best regards,
CDR John Humpage
