MONDAY: Biden-Harris Administration to Announce New Funding to Improve Climate Resilience and Protect Coastal Habitat in York, Cumberland, and Washington Counties

Scarborough, MAINE – On Monday, April 22, Earth Day, Biden-Harris Administration leaders will join Mills Administration officials, U.S. Representative Chellie Pingree, and local leaders to announce new funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act, part of the President’s Investing in America Agenda, to enhance climate resilience and coastal habitat restoration projects in York, Cumberland, and Washington Counties.

Since Day One, President Biden has delivered on the most ambitious climate agenda in history – signing into law the largest investment in climate action ever, including more than $50 billion for climate resilience. The Earth Day announcements will help Maine take actions that enhance the climate resilience of infrastructure, communities, and ecosystems.
