ONLINE DEALER RENEWAL TIME! This email is for online renewals only. Paper applications will be available on our website, or at the Licensing Division, on or after March 15th.
The online dealer licenses are ready for renewal for 2017. The issue date for 2017 licenses is April 1, 2017, with an expiration date of March 31, 2018. If you have not renewed your 2016 license, which expires on March 31, 2017, and you are doing business at this time, you will need to renew to the “Current Year” license which will expire on March 31, 2017.
If you already hold your 2016 dealer license and are renewing your license(s) prior to March 31st, please select the “Add” button next to the license you would like to renew, and go to the far right under the column titled “NEXT YEAR” and select the quantity. If, however, you are renewing your license(s) AFTER April 1, 2017, you will select "CURRENT YEAR," as dealer licenses run from April 1 to March 31 of each year. This will ensure that you are receiving a 2017 license
Anyone obtaining a license requiring a shellfish certification must first be inspected and issued a certification number from the State of Maine, if you are a Maine business. If you have an out-of-state certification, you will need to select that you are NOT a Maine resident on the home screen, and then proceed to the license selection screen to enter your certification number that you were issued by your State before you will be issued a license that requires a certification.
Important: If you hold a harvester license and a dealer license under the same social security number, please contact the Licensing Division prior to creating a login so that we can assist with setting up your dealer login.
If you have already renewed your license, please disregard this message.
All payments for licenses obtained must be in US dollars only.
If you are renewing for the first time online, please follow the below instructions and link for creating a login and password in LEEDS (Licensing, Enforcement, Environmental Data System). If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 624-6550 (Option 2).
Thank you.

Here is the LEEDS link, and Video showing how to create a login in LEEDS. If you are RENEWING your dealer license, and have a dealer license with Marine Resources, you will be in our system with a Landings Number. Once you have entered all the information to create a login, via email you will be asked to return to the login page to enter your landings number and password. Your Landings Number should exactly match YOUR Landings Number in our system. Your Landings Number will be used to login, along with the password you have created during the “Create a Login”. If your landings number does not match, please contact the Department as soon as possible so that we can ensure that you are not entered twice in our system. This could cause an issue with any license renewals you are trying to do.
