When: Open enrollment is from June 6 to August 3, 2012.

 

What do I need to do?

1. Click HERE to print the State of Maine application form and supplemental questionnaire.

2. All applicants (including full-time police officers) MUST complete the Physical Fitness (PT) exam at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) in Vassalboro, Maine. If you have taken and passed the MCJA PT since Aug 3, 2011 you are exempt from re-taking the PT.

3. Applicants OTHER THAN full-time law enforcement officers must also take and pass (if you have not already done so) the Maine ALERT exam. Exams must be completed and submitted with your application.

4. Full time police officers are exempt from the ALERT EXAM.

Test dates for the exams are June 20, July 3, July 18, July 19, and August 1.
