TITLE: Section 110(a)(2)(D)(i)(I) Transport Certification for the 2010 National Ambient Air Quality Standard for Nitrogen Dioxide

CONCISE SUMMARY: The Department is proposing to amend the Maine State Implementation Plan (SIP) by incorporating the Section 110(a)(2)(D)(i)(I) Transport Certification for the 2010 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2 Transport Certification). The NO2 Transport Certification affirms that Maine does not does not contribute significantly to nonattainment or interfere with maintenance of the 2010 NAAQS for NO2 in any state, and fulfills the "Good Neighbor" provisions specified in Sections 110(a)(1) and (2) of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments for the 2010 NO2 National Ambient Air Quality Standards.

This certification will be submitted to EPA as a revision to Maine's State Implementation Plan. Copies of this proposal are available upon request by contacting the Agency contact person or on the DEP website at http://www.maine.gov/dep/comment/index.html. Written comments may be submitted by mail, e-mail or fax to the contact person before the end of the comment period. To ensure the comments are considered, they must include your name and the organization you represent, if any.

PUBLIC HEARING: No public hearing is scheduled (there is a 30-day written comment period). A public hearing will be held if requested before the end of the comment period.
