What: Join American Farmland Trust and Mobile Biochar Systems for two on-farm biochar production demonstration/field walk events.
When and Where:
- August 7, 10 am - 2 pm in Vassalboro
- September 16, 10 am - 3 pm in Freeport

Cost: Free. Lunch will be provided.
During both of these events, biochar will be explored as an option for increasing soil nutrient and water holding capacity. Participants will learn how mobile pyrolysis units can produce biochar from feedstock generated on the farm and watch a pyrolysis demonstration from feedstock to biochar.
