Saint John Valley Soil & Water Conservation District
Pesticide Certification Credits Fall Semester 2024
Pesticides can be important tools when in the hands of a skilled and informed applicator. They offer many potential benefits, but pesticides can pose risks if improperly used. Maine law requires many people who apply or sell pesticides to first obtain a license, and thereafter, obtain recertification credits. Maine law, now requires, an Agricultural Basic Applicator License for growers who annually sell more than $1,000 of plants or plant products intended for human consumption.
