In-Person Meat and Poultry HACCP Training Available
About the Course
- The two-part course features in-person instruction July 18 and 19, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to- 5:00 p.m. Instructors will help participants learn and apply concepts to design their own HACCP plan. Upon successful completion, participants will receive proof of training, plus the instruction to create their own HACCP plan. On September 5, 2024 course participants may attend an optional HACCP plan revision workshop to collaborate with peers.
Who Should Attend?
- The target audience is Maine meat and poultry processors and personnel; multiple applicants from one entity are welcome as are individuals.
- Any individual interested in learning about HACCP principles, or those who may need to review and refresh on important topics.
- Those who wish to receive coaching to create or update their plans; and network with other peers.
The workshop is reserved for Maine-based participants, focusing on meat and poultry processing. After successfully submitting your registration, you will receive at least two separate emails. The first confirms successful submission of your form, the second will provide your payment instructions.

Economical, in-person, local option! HACCP Trainings are typically $400 or more. This training is being offered to help Maine businesses access an economical, in-person, and local training opportunity.

Suffices regulatory compliance! Students certifying that they meet the regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 417.7 to create and maintain (and therefore operate) a HACCP plan under MMPI/USDA.

Added value - optional workshop! Particpants who successfully complete the training have the choice to collaboratively to review, support and improve their own plans designed using the two-day workshop training.
