Here in Maine, the recent Nor'easter did not keep people from viewing the eclipse. It brought tears to my eyes as I thought about how the eclipse represents rebirth and renewal and how moments like this help all of us remember our connection to the universe!

I've been hearing the duck-like chuckle of wood frogs for several weeks - with a brief pause during the Nor'easter! Learn more about them on the Wood frog information page by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

I've been hearing Spring Peepers too! Listen to their high-pitched calls.

Flowers in bloom now: Snowdrops, Daffodils, Trailing Arbutus, and Red Maple.

From left to right: Snowdrops, daffodils, traling arbutus, and red maple flowers.

I'm finding snowdrops, daffodils, trailing arbutus, and red maple flowers in bloom. I'll be keeping my eyes out for starflowers, bluets, fringed polygala - the angel wings, and all the Spring ephemerals.

Take a look at this Spring ephemeral page & video by the New England Botanic Garden, Boylston, MA.

There is so much to look forward to!
Happy exploring,
Jocelyn
