A Rare Nature Moment – Canada Lynx
A Canada Lynx along the Penobscot River Corridor (PRC). Photo by Tammy Bishop, Manager of the PRC.
Spotting a Canada lynx in the wild is a rare and precious experience and one of the lucky moments that Park Manager Tammy Bishop recently experienced along the Penobscot River Corridor. She was able to capture the moment in the photo above. Learn more about lynx and its predominant prey species, the snowshoe hare, from Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
When Tammy sent her photo to me, it was a reminder of how lucky we are to be working in the outdoors. And that though nature moments are not always this rare, all of them are special if we take the time to look and really see the amazing world around us.
Wishing you many amazing nature moments... both big and small!
