The Solace of Sunshine - Let the Sun Shine In
Brilliant sunshine streaming through autumn woodland brings lightness to my thoughts and reminds me that I am part of the natural world. Sunlight on my back is like a giant warm hug – from our closest star, the Sun - reaching out to me in eight minutes' time to provide a powerfully warm embrace that fills me with solace as I walk. And, when I go indoors, I hope that afternoon sunlight will stream through the window next to my desk. On days when the sun is not shining, I find myself humming either John Denver’s Sunshine on My Shoulders or The 5th Dimension’s Let the Sun Shine In.
As John Denver said…
Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry Sunshine on the water looks so lovely Sunshine almost always makes me high
If I had a day that I could give you I'd give to you a day just like today If I had a song that I could sing for you I'd sing a song to make you feel this way
I wish you many beautiful days of glorious sunshine, Jocelyn
