The University of Maine Forest and Lumbra Hardwoods are hosting a Scaling/Wood Measurement Training on September 28 and 29.
Topics will include:
- Scalers Licensing Law and Wood Measurement Rules
- Basics of Wood Measurements
- Defects and Deductions
- Insects ID & Wood Quarantines
- Hands-on Log Scaling, Deduction and Decay
- Log Scaling & Lumber Grading at O&R Lumbra Hardwood Mill in Milo
Class size is limited to 25 and the registration fee is $100.
