New Maine Geologic Fact and Locality Available

The Maine Geological Survey (MGS) is pleased to announce the latest Maine Geologic Fact and Locality (GFL) release:  Weston Woods and Waters. Will Robert, an MGS surficial geology mapping intern during the summer of 2022, leads us to six stops along the Kennebec River in Madison that provide great examples of local surficial geology. Esker, kettle, sand dune, and floodplain features are all prominently on display.
