Agricultural Infrastructure Investment Program (AIIP)

Application Period Now Closed

The application deadline for the Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry's Agricultural Infrastructure Investment Program (AIIP) closed on February 25, 2022.

Please note that the review is expected to take longer than initially anticipated because of the extremely high number of applications. There is not currently an estimated date for award notifications.

The AIIP was funded as part of the Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan and offered a range of grant funding for on-farm improvements and processing projects. Approximately $20 million was allocated by the Mills Administration for the AIIP.

The high number of applications received, more than 850 requesting over $177 million in funding, proves that there is a significant opportunity to support agricultural infrastructure development in Maine. The Department appreciates applicant patience as the review process gets underway.

For questions about the AIIP application process, don't hesitate to contact AgGrantSupport@ceimaine.org.

DACF partnered with Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) to administer the program. Additional information is available on CEI's website.
