The Maine Geological Survey (MGS) is pleased to announce the release of the latest Maine Geologic Fact and Locality (GFL): Volcanic Activity in the Tatnic Hills, South Berwick, ME. This month's GFL author, Bryce Neal, an intern with MGS during the Summer of 2020, takes us on a hike around the Orris Falls Conservation Area to examine some of the youngest rocks in Maine formed by volcanic activity.

For an interactive web map and listing of all previously published GFLs please visit MGS Geologic Facts and Localities.
