AUGUSTA, MAINE – Oct. 7, 2019 – The Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association and The Retail Association of Maine, two organizations dedicated to the prosperity of Maine’s retail, grocery and food producer industries are excited to be co-hosting 'The Summit' at the Samoset Resort in Rockport this month. The event will start Wednesday evening on Oct. 23rd with a Social Hour followed by a full schedule of events on Thursday, Oct. 24th. This event will bring together Maine’s business community uniting retailers, grocers, food producers and industry partners for an impressive day full of education, inspiration, Maine flavor and fun!

The full-day agenda includes an opening presentation on Legislative Policy Changes Affecting Maine’s Small Businesses, and other topics including a HR Employee Handbook Workshop, Food Producer Open Forum Discussion, Lunch Keynote Celebrating the Reny’s Family 70-year Anniversary, Gen-Z Shoppers Overview, Local Food Economy Summary and Buyer-Producer Speed Networking and wraps up with a Joint Presentation focusing on Tapping Into Non-Traditional Employee Populations.  Join us to hear from Maine brands including Capt'n Eli's Soda, Del Conte Sauces, Fredrikson Farm and Creamery, Renys, Hannaford Supermarkets, The Maine Course by Sodexo, Goodwill Northern New England, Mousam Valley Mushrooms and others!
