Proposed New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) Project

Notice of Hearing

WHAT: On December 19, 2017, the Land Use Planning Commission (Commission) voted to hold a public hearing as part of its certification review of Central Maine Power’s proposed New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) Project. Notice of the hearing is provided in accordance with applicable State laws and rules. . The hearing will include both daytime and evening sessions. The daytime sessions will be devoted to receiving evidence from the applicant and those parties granted intervenor status. Members of the public may attend, but not participate in, the daytime sessions. The evening sessions will be devoted to receiving evidence (testimony) from members of the public.

WHEN: The Commission’s hearing will be held on April 2, 2019, as part of a joint hearing with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The Commission’s daytime session begins at 10:30 a.m. The evening session begins at 6:00 p.m.    

WHERE: The daytime session will be conducted in the North Dining Hall on the University
of Maine at Farmington campus (111 South Street, Farmington, Maine 04938). The evening session will be conducted in the Lincoln Auditorium on the University of Maine at Farmington campus.
