Hello all. Here are a few updates and changes to WoodsWISE Forms and a minor change in the WRAP specifications document:
The Woodland Resource Action Plan Application form on line is now a fillable, save-able PDF. The completed form still needs an actual landowner signature, so you may still need to print it for that reason. We can accept a scanned copy of a fully filled out and signed application. Keep an eye on the website as other WoodsWISE forms will be upgraded to fillable PDF format.
The layout of the WRAP Application form has changed slightly, to make it easier to link the primary landowning entity (the person or entity receiving the reimbursement check) and the associated tax identification number. If you or your clients have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
The 2018 WRAP Specifications and Appendix now includes an update to the Forests of Recognized Importance (FORI) section in the Appendix. The Maine Tree Farm Committee’s recently adopted statement concerning the non-existence of FORI in Maine is now included, as an option for addressing this issue in new WRAPs. It’s also suitable for amending older forest management plans, and for new plans written for Tree Farmers, regardless of whether the plan is cost-shared or not. Contact the Maine Tree Farm Committee for more information, if needed.
As always, feel free to contact me directly with any questions about the changes, or about the WoodsWISE Incentives Program in general. And thank you for your continued interest in Woodland Stewardship!
Best,
