Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District will present the last program in the 2016 Beginning Farmer Workshop Series on Saturday, July 30 from 8am to 4 pm at Aldemere Farm, 70 Russell Ave in Rockport.

In addition to our home-grown grass experts, Rick Kersbergen and Diane Schivera, we are pleased to be hosting Kimberley Hagen, Grazing Specialist with Vermont Cooperative Extension, and her special techniques to control non-toxic pasture weeds by training your animals to eat them! In addition, Geri Vistein, will be on hand to talk about Sustainable Farming with Carnivores.

This day-long program is sponsored by a grant from USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and is being presented in conjunction with Aldemere Farm's Beef Basics Weekend.

Workshops are free and include morning coffee and lunch.

All farmers and aspiring farmers welcome!
