Union Area Wineries Celebrate Mother’s Day
Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery and Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery, both of Union, are celebrating Mother’s Day with Maine wine, spirits, treats, and gifts.
Union, Maine, Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8th, 2016, 11 am to 5 pm – Don't miss out on a chance to treat Mom to an unforgettable day! Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery is teaming up with Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery to offer Mom a memorable day of Maine wine, spirits, gifts, and treats.
Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery will play host to Billi Barker from Enchanted Kitchen at Fire Fly Farm. Sample crepes and other treats from this amazingly talented baker and chef. For a different experience, try the delicious filled chocolates from Safe Harbor Confections, all paired with the latest Savage Oakes wine releases.
There will be many tasty combinations to choose from. Wine tasting and pairings are free for this special event. Don’t forget, mom’s day wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful free plant from Seven Tree Farm and Greenhouse, compliments of Savage Oakes.
Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery, producer of wines and spirits, will be hosting Portland chocolate maker Dean’s Sweets and Waldoboro candy maker Copper Tail Farm. Sample Dean’s delectable truffles and Copper Tail Farm’s decadent caramels paired with our wines and spirits. In honor of the day, Kristen Flynn Photography will be taking free portraits of Mom; have your picture taken to commemorate the day. Free tastings or wines by the glass for purchase will be available to enjoy.
