What to Expect
Parade – 10:00 a.m. Kick off the day with a colorful parade from Glenwood Avenue to the Talbot County Courthouse featuring bands, dance groups, dignitaries, and local organizations.
Welcome Ceremony – 10:30 a.m. On the Courthouse lawn, enjoy music, remarks from community leaders, and a special keynote honoring Frederick Douglass’s legacy.
Children’s Village – 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Family fun on the Talbot County Free Library lawn with games, crafts, story time, and educational activities.
Marketplace – 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Shop local vendors, food, and nonprofit booths near the library.
Entertainment Stage – Noon–3:00 p.m. Live music and performances from local choirs, bands, and community groups on West Street.
Lecture – 1:00 p.m. Hear author Nicholas Buccola present “Frederick Douglass, American Revolutionary” at the Talbot County Free Library.
Walking Tour – 3:00 p.m. Explore Easton’s historic Hill Community on a guided tour starting at the Avalon Theatre.
