Roadway Projects in Carroll County
All scheduled work is weather/temperature dependent
MD 27 (Manchester Road) from West of MD 140 to Hahn Road - 70% complete
- Storm drain work began in late September. During preparation work for grading, crews identified a manhole that was too low to safely accommodate grading. The manhole was raised last month. Grading is scheduled to start this month and will be followed by paving between the structures. All three structures are 95% complete.
- This project is constructing a new bicycle/pedestrian path to connect existing sections of the Westminster Community Trail. Substantial completion is expected this fall.
MD 27 (Liberty St/Railroad Ave) between Tuc Rd and Bond St
- The contractor milled and repaired cracks and depressions on the roadway last month. Paving operations will finish this week.
- Crews will then install pavement markers and line striping the first week of October to complete the project.
- The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. Motorists can expect single-lane and shoulder closures during work hours. Parking on the road will be restricted when crews are working in that location.
MD 30 Roundabouts
