  • Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 8, MD 851 will close between Main Street and Central Avenue, a half-mile span. Local traffic and emergency services will have access to the roadway during the closure.

  • Crews will remove a large manhole and drainage pipes located in the center of the roadway and install new structures to improve drainage. The closure is expected to be in effect until March.

  • The detour route directs motorists to use Main Street to Sandosky Road to MD 32 (Sykesville Road) and MD 851.

SHA offices will be closed on January 1 and January 15.
