Arguing for Change

Arguing for Change
Take a stand against bullying! In MPT's interactive literacy module, students use the topic of bullying to write an "argument for change" to get classmates to stop mistreating one another. Activities include: examining fiction/nonfiction resources, videos/web, artwork and photography. Skills/goal: writing to inform or explain.

Rights

Protecting the Rights of the People
Freedom of religion, speech and the press are rights denied to more than half of the world’s population. In MPT’s social studies-themed literacy activity, students examine primary and secondary sources to compare and contrast information about the rights of citizens of the U.S.A.
Objective: find relationships among primary/secondary sources to identify where information from different sources converges and differs.
