 Protecting the Rights
of the People
Freedom of religion, speech and the press are rights denied to more than
half of the world’s population. In MPT’s social studies-themed literacy
activity, students examine primary and secondary sources to compare and
contrast information about the rights of citizens of the U.S.A. Objective: find relationships among primary/secondary sources to
identify where information from different sources converges and differs.
