Sesame Street for Military Families: Transitions Transitioning out of the military can be challenging on
families and children. Our friends at Sesame Street launched a
website to help families cope with transitioning into civilian life. Resources include an activity book, videos and an e-newsletter filled with fun activities and tips to help families
navigate changes.

 Traveling Exhibit Extend the learning experience! MPT Salutes Vietnam Veterans Traveling Exhibit features
current-day and wartime images of 16 men and women along with their
recollections of events from the war.
Get involved and give back! Activities include a colorful and fun way for kids to thank veterans and a place for visitors to craft messages to
veterans or share their own stories.

places that serve multiple purposes.

and get to know extraordinary people who devote their lives to preserve and
protect these special places for everyone. Support materials include lesson
plans, educator resources, day trip activities, and discussion guides.

Settlements and Civilizations
 Succeeding in the New
World: Colonial America Challenge your classroom to build a successful colonial settlement that
survives in the face of multiple challenges. Designed to boost core STEM
knowledge, students use an interactive tool to create and test their colonial
settlement and record information in an engineering portfolio as they complete
tasks.

Civilizations Get your students thinking like archaeologists as they uncover fascinating
clues about the way past civilizations lived. In MPT’s literacy-building activity,
students explore images of artifacts and analyze primary and secondary sources
in order to write an informative article.
