District 8 Weekend Edition

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who participated in District 8 Delivers Day last Saturday! It was great seeing so many of you throughout the community and at the various events. Your engagement and continued support are what make District 8 such a special place to call home.

District 8 Seniors, don’t miss this important deadline! The deadline to apply for utility assistance through the District 8 Senior Support Fund is August 31st.  Please submit your application before the deadline. 

In this edition, you’ll find information about an upcoming food giveaway, a community garden kickoff meeting, an event at Mahogany Books, and opportunities to participate in public safety academies and learn more about the people and resources working to keep our communities safe.

September is loading! As we prepare to turn the page to a new month, I encourage you to enjoy these final days of August, spend time with family and friends, and take advantage of the opportunities happening right here in our community. As always, I look forward to seeing you out and about in District 8. We care, we’re working, and we’ll see you in the community!
