Can you believe that it is November already? We have a lot of exciting activities happening as the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches. Make sure you update your calendar so you won't miss any of these important events! With daylight savings time in effect, it is getting darker earlier, so be sure to take extra safety precautions for you, your family members, and your neighbors. We look forward to seeing you throughout the holidays.

It was wonderful being out amongst the community at the farmers market for the fall festival. It such a successful market filled with tons of people, and it is just an amazing time. There were so many kids having fun, plus there were fresh produce, and good old community.

Fue maravilloso estar entre la comunidad en el mercado de agricultores para el festival de otoño. Fue un mercado muy exitoso, lleno de gente, y fue un momento increíble. Había muchos niños divirtiéndose, además de productos frescos y una buena comunidad.

Celebrating Tenth Annual Prince George's County Green Summit
The Department of the Environment hosted the county’s tenth annual Green Summit in Hyattsville. Several organizations were in attendance, showcasing their products or services that are helping to improve the environment and people’s lives. I was proud to take part in this great event right here in District 2!
El Departamento de Medio Ambiente organizó la décima Cumbre Verde anual del condado en Hyattsville. Varias organizaciones estuvieron presentes y mostraron sus productos o servicios que ayudan a mejorar el medio ambiente y la vida de las personas. ¡Me sentí orgulloso de participar en este gran evento aquí mismo, en el Distrito 2!

Our office joined in the vibrant celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. It is a celebration cherished by so many in our community and around the world. This special holiday symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
The holiday allows us take time to reflect on these values, embracing the spirit of joy, hope, and unity that Diwali brings. Wishing all those who celebrate a Diwali filled with prosperity, peace, and love.

Senior Bling Event
 The 2nd Annual Senior Bling was a huge success! On Friday, November 15, I spent the day with seniors from all over District 2 and they did not disappoint! Their outfits fit the theme perfectly! It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and well-deserved appreciations. It is vital that we continue to give back to those who paved the way for us and celebrate all they have done and continue to do.

El viernes 15 de noviembre, pasé el día con estudiantes de último año de todo el Distrito 2 y no me decepcionaron. ¡Sus atuendos encajaban perfectamente con el tema! Fue un día lleno de alegría, risas y reconocimientos bien merecidos. Es vital que sigamos retribuyendo a quienes allanaron el camino para nosotros y celebremos todo lo que han hecho y siguen haciendo. |
