Kappa Epsilon Lambda Chapter 19th Annual College Fair. In partnership with the Kappa Epsilon Lambda Education Foundation (KELEF), Southern Maryland Technology and Recreation Complex (Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission), and the Eta Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at Bowie State University, and colleges from across the country.

Southern Prince George’s County Community Charities, Inc. (SPGCCC, Inc.) proudly launched the P.O.W.E.R. Program (Positive Opportunities With Engaging Resources) with an inaugural cohort of high school seniors. The program’s objective is to empower young women by offering a range of opportunities that enhance their educational experience, promote self-discovery, and equip them with essential life skills. The program addresses the urgent need for guidance and support for young women facing challenges such as peer pressure, low self-esteem, and preparing for adulthood. Through P.O.W.E.R., participants will engage in workshops, mentorship, experiential learning, and community service projects.

As a mentor, you will provide invaluable advice, encouragement, and support, helping to shape the next generation of leaders. The organization primarily works in collaboration with the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Upsilon Tau Omega Chapter, located in Fort Washington, Maryland.
Join your neighbors of District 8 at the Colin Powell Academy for a Plastic Bottle Collection. The bottles will be used to build a greenhouse for CPA students. Fort Washington Forward in collaboration with Jacob’s Ladder Youth Foundation, students, parents, and the community will use the bottles to build a one-of-a-kind greenhouse. Don’t trash your bottles!
