District 9 National Night Out
Today, Tuesday, August 2, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., please join Prince George's County Police Division V team and Council Vice Chair Sydney Harrison, at National Night Out. There will be plenty of free food, beverages, entertainment, music, give-a-ways, community-based resources, and lots of fun! The event will be held at Police Division V Station, 6707 Groveton Dr. Clinton, Md. Please stop by the Council District 9 table and meet our team. We look forward to seeing you there!
Clinton Baptist Church’s Back to School Festival
On Saturday, August 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Clinton Baptist Church, 8701 Woodyard Rd. Clinton, Md., will host its Back-to-School Festival. There will be free book bags, school supplies, food, moon bounce, music, games, and vaccines!

Latest CDC's COVID-19 Recommendations
The latest dominant COVID-19 strain of Omicron is very contagious. COVID-19 cases are now on the rise. The County Health Department reminds residents that the COVID-19 vaccinations provide protection against severe symptoms. If you test positive for COVID-19, the County Health Department has a step-by-step guide on what you need to do. For more information, visit Prince George's County Coronavirus Information.
Stuff the Bus
Now through August 15, 2022, the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) will kick-off their annual “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive. DPW&T is asking for your support, as students prepare for the upcoming school year. Residents can drop off school supplies weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 9400 Peppercorn Pl. Largo, Md.
