White House COVID-19 Tests Distribution: The White House is now providing four (4) free COVID-19 rapid at-home test kits to every home in the U.S. Those interested in ordering tests must provide a name and residential mailing address. Tests will ship through the mail within 7-12 days of ordering, with no shipping fees. To order your tests, visit https://www.covidtests.gov/

Ballots have been mailed for the 2022 Special General Election - Council District 8 - February 1, 2022.
- Special General Election-February 1, 2022, 7am-8pm

Special General - Early voting will be conducted on January 26-January 31, 2022, (10am-8pm and 12pm – 6pm on Sunday)
The deadline to drop your ballot in the dropbox is Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 8PM.
All mailed ballots must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2022. Check the post office to verify pick up times.
County Council District 8 Special General Election, Early Voting and Election Day Results
Early Voting results will be posted at 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. It is anticipated that Election Day Results will be posted at approximately 8:45pm.

The Maryland Department of Health is opening or expanding COVID-19 testing sites across the State. Here is the list for your convenience.
 
Since announcing that applications are being accepted for the County’s Police Accountability Board, following the passage of the Maryland Police Accountability Act of 2021, the County has received a great number of applications. However, some in the community expressed that the application submission timeline was too short, so the deadline is being extended by two weeks. The County will now be accepting applications until January 28, 2022. To be considered, please submit a letter of interest and resume to pgcboardsvacancy@co.pg.md.us.
