District 9 Community Update
District 9 Cleanup, Paper Shred, and Bulk Trash Day
On Saturday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Council Member Sydney Harrison is a hosting a community-wide cleanup, paper shred, and bulk trash collection event. The entire community is encouraged to gather their neighbors and join the District 9 team in removing unsightly trash and debris, from our neighborhoods. The bulk trash and paper shred locations are as follows:
- Clinton Baptist Church, 8701 Woodyard Rd. Clinton, Md. (bulk trash and paper shred)
- Frederick Douglass High School, 8000 Croom Rd. Upper Marlboro, Md. (bulk trash only)
- Accokeek Academy, 14400 Berry Rd. Accokeek, Md, (bulk trash only)

COVID-19 Update
COVID-19 vaccines are available through Prince George’s County Health Department clinics, the State of Maryland, and privately-run pharmacies. The walk-in vaccinations are available at County Health Department clinics, or by scheduling an appointment. PGCPS COVID-19 Vaccine Update
Starting Monday June 7, through Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) will offer free COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for Students ages 12 and over. Students may receive free COVID-19 vaccines, at select high schools. Families may also receive the vaccine. The clinics will be hosted by the Prince George’s County Health Department. Vaccines will be administered in a mobile unit, on school grounds. Parental consent is required for vaccination. Parents/guardians are welcome to accompany their child to the clinic, but are not required to be present. Students must bring completed consent forms to be vaccinated.

Metrobus to Increase Late-Night Service
Beginning Sunday, June 6, 2021, Metrobus will extend late-night service on dozens of bus lines, throughout the District, Maryland and Virginia. Buses on 36 of Metro’s busiest routes will operate until 2:00 a.m., seven days a week. Metro will also increase service and restore more than 60 bus routes. The changes will increase Metrobus service to approximately 85 percent of pre-pandemic levels. For additional information, please go to Metrobus Service Changes.
